Akash’s addition will provide a much-needed boost to LSG’s bowling unit, which has been hindered by injuries. Unfortunately, Mayank Yadav’s return from a lumbar stress injury was further complicated by a toe injury, while Mohsin Khan’s torn ACL last December has ruled him out of IPL 2025. Along with Shardul Thakur and Avesh Khan, LSG had previously included Prince Yadav in their fast-bowling arsenal for the first two matches. So far in IPL 2025, LSG has only managed to secure one win out of their first three games.
In this season’s mega auction, LSG acquired Akash for INR 8 crores after he successfully took 49 wickets in 42 T20 matches.
