In the recent match, GT made the decision to bowl first against RCB.
Winning the toss, Shubman Gill had no doubts about choosing to bowl first in Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s opening match at their home ground, the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
The team GT is currently playing their first away game of the season, where they have won and lost one match each. In order to fill the gap left by Kagiso Rabada, who was unable to play due to personal reasons, they have brought in Arshad Khan, a left-arm fast bowler. As a result, GT now has only two overseas players in their bowling XI and are considering adding Sherfane Rutherford for their batting lineup.
According to Rajat Patidar, the RCB captain, he would have also chosen to bowl first, as he confirms that RCB will stick with their original lineup.
RCB are entering the game off of two impressive victories. Their first was a seven-wicket triumph against Kolkata Knight Riders in the tournament opener, and six days later they accomplished something they hadn’t done since 2008 – beating Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk by a significant 50 runs. As a result, RCB sits comfortably on top of the points table with an excellent net run rate of +2.266 while playing in their home city.
Contrarily, GT stumbled in their first match of the season against Punjab Kings, losing by 11 runs. However, they redeemed themselves with a 36-run victory over Mumbai Indians on their home turf.
The Gujarat Titans lineup consists of a talented group of players, with Shubman Gill leading the team as captain. Along with him are Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler as wicket keeper, Shahrukh Khan, Rahul Tewatia, Arshad Khan, Rashid Khan, R Sai Kishore, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna and Ishant Sharma.
The batting lineup for Royal Challengers Benglauru includes Phil Salt, Virat Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar as captain, Liam Livingstone, and Jitesh Sharma as wicketkeeper. The team also has Tim David, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, and Yash Dayal in their bowling line-up.
