When did the IPL Fantasy League first begin?
The origins of the IPL Fantasy League date back to 2013, when the IPL made a pioneering move by introducing their own official fantasy league. This was made possible through a partnership with Tententen Digital, who were responsible for developing and managing the platform at the time.
Additionally, an official website called “fantasy.iplt20.com” was created for fans to engage with the tournament. It remains active today and offers features such as team strategy creation, contest participation, and progress monitoring.

Formation of a team
To begin, you must create a team by choosing 11 players from the available teams and staying within the allotted budget of 100 credits. It is important to note that the total value of your team cannot exceed 100 credits.
In order to participate, you must select a minimum of 1 Wicket-Keeper, 3 Batters, 1 All-Rounder, and 3 Bowlers for your team.
Before choosing players, be sure to verify their availability. This will prevent you from having non-playing team members, resulting in a zero point contribution to your overall score.
To determine a player’s availability for a match, look for the colored dots next to their name. A Green Dot indicates they are in the starting lineup, while a Red Dot means they will not be playing. A Blue Dot signifies they are listed as an impact substitution.
Next, select a Captain and Vice-Captain to boost your points. The Captain will earn 2 times the player’s score, while the Vice-Captain will earn 1.5 times the player’s score.
Each team can select a maximum of 7 players, including a maximum of 4 overseas players.
Transfers refer to the movement of something from one place to another. This could include items, people, or information being moved between locations.
