Following Sunday’s double-header, the IPL 2025 Purple Cap list welcomed a new addition to its top three. Let’s take a look at the current rankings on both, the Purple Cap and Orange Cap lists, post Kolkata Knight Riders’ victory over Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings’ win against Lucknow Super Giants.

Thanks to his outstanding performance against LSG, Arshdeep Singh has jumped to third place on the Purple Cap table. His impressive stats include 3 for 16 from four overs, which played a crucial role in PBKS’s 37-run victory in Dharamsala. Currently, Singh has taken a total of 16 wickets in ten bowling innings this season.
GT’s Prasidh Krishna continues his dominance with a total of 19 wickets in ten innings, maintaining his top position on the table. Trailing closely behind is RCB’s Josh Hazlewood, with an impressive 18 wickets from the same number of outings.
Arshdeep holds the top spot among other players who have taken 16 wickets, namely Noor Ahmad from Chennai Super Kings and Trent Boult from Mumbai Indians. This is due to his exceptional average and economy rate.
KKR’s Varun Chakravarthy made some significant progress in the Purple Cap rankings after the recent double-header. The impressive bowler took 2 wickets for 32 runs against RR, bringing his total to 15 wickets.

The top three positions on the Orange Cap leaderboard have remained consistent since Saturday. However, there has been a newcomer in fourth place. Yashasvi Jaiswal from RR has climbed up the rankings with 473 runs in 12 innings, following his recent score of 34 off 21 balls against KKR.
At the top of the list is RCB’s Virat Kohli, who has scored 505 runs in 11 innings. Close behind him is GT’s B Sai Sudharsan with a mere one-run difference, achieved in one less inning than Kohli. Following them at No. 3 is MI’s Suryakumar Yadav with a total of 475 runs.
PBKS opener Prabhsimran Singh has also seen some improvements, advancing to the No. 7 spot. His impressive 91 runs off 48 balls has brought his total to 437 runs in 11 matches. LSG’s Pooran, who was leading the batting charts earlier in the tournament, has slipped to No. 8 due to mediocre performances in recent games.
Both Jos Buttler and Shubman Gill are ranked fifth and sixth on this table, with 470 runs and 465 runs, respectively.
