The Orange and Purple Caps have been switching heads regularly during IPL 2025. Let’s take a look at the latest standings after RCB defeated CSK on Saturday evening.
The Orange Cap table can also be referred to as the O.C. table.
Virat Kohli quickly reclaimed his position. Following B Sai Sudharsan’s success in winning it back from him on Friday, Kohli wasted no time in snatching it back with a solid 62 runs off 33 balls for RCB against CSK at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Although there is a small gap between their scores, Kohli currently leads with 505 runs from 11 innings, while Sai Sudharsan is close behind with one less inning and only one run behind.
The list of players below them remains the same: Suryakumar Yadav (Mumbai Indians, 475 runs), Jos Buttler (GT, 470 runs), Shubman Gill (GT, 465 runs), Yashasvi Jaiswal (Rajasthan Royals, 439 runs), and Nicholas Pooran (Lucknow Super Giants, 404 runs).
As Kohli leads the team in runs, Padikkal stands as RCB’s second top scorer with a total of 247 runs, placing him at No. 26 on the list.
The table for the Purple Cap.
Unfortunately for Josh Hazlewood, he was absent from the game against CSK, keeping him one wicket behind Prasidh Krishna of GT. As it currently stands, Prasidh has accumulated 19 wickets in ten games, while Hazlewood trails closely with a total of 18 wickets in the same number of games.
Unfortunately for Khaleel Ahmed, he was unable to add to his season wicket tally of 14 due to his costly and unproductive performance. However, his colleague Noor Ahmad was able to match MI’s Trent Boult with 16 wickets, putting them in a joint third place. Krunal Pandya secured one wicket for RCB against CSK, bringing his season total to 14 – the same number as Khaleel, Mohammed Siraj from GT, and Mitchell Starc from Delhi Capitals.
