The PBKS’s international foursome, comprising Marcus Stoinis, Josh Inglis, Aaron Hardie, and Kyle Jamieson, will be arriving in India to join the team on Tuesday.
All four players can be chosen immediately, beginning with PBKS’ next IPL 2025 match versus Delhi Capitals on Saturday, May 24. The team is aiming for a top-two spot as they have now qualified for the playoffs for the first time since IPL 2014.
Stoinis and Inglis have had limited appearances for PBKS this season, as the team has been rotating their overseas players in search of a consistent middle order. Despite this, the team has managed a successful season thanks to strong performances from their top-order batsmen and bowlers. Stoinis has recorded 82 runs in seven innings at a strike rate of 167.34, while Inglis has contributed 92 runs in six innings with a strike rate of 139.39.
The seam-bowling all-rounder from Western Australia, Hardie, was acquired for INR 1.25 crore at the auction but has yet to make an appearance this season. Similarly, Jamieson joined the team as a replacement for the injured Ferguson but has also not played so far. However, with Marco Jansen leaving for the WTC final at the end of the league stage, either one of them could play a significant role in the playoffs.
Among the PBKS squad, Azmatullah Omarzai, Xavier Bartlett, and Mitch Owen are also players from overseas. Following their match against DC this Saturday, PBKS will have their last game of the league stage on Monday, May 26 versus Mumbai Indians.
