Rajasthan Royals elected to bowl first against Gujarat Titans.
RR captain Sanju Samson chose to bowl first against GT in Ahmedabad after winning the toss, citing the presence of dew as a factor in his decision.
Due to personal reasons, RR had to make a change in their lineup. Fazalhaq Farooqi was brought in as a replacement for Wanindu Hasaranga.
According to Shubman Gill, the GT team chose to keep their XI unchanged. However, it was noticed that Washington Sundar was not included in their initial bat-first XI as he was among the five Impact Player possibilities. In his place, Arshad Khan was selected to be part of the starting lineup.
GT included just three foreign players in their XI and none as Impact Player choices. As a result, despite his injury on the field during their previous game, Glenn Phillips will not be eligible for substitution.
The momentum is in favor of both teams. GT has won their last three matches, while RR has bounced back from two initial losses with two consecutive wins.
The game is taking place on a red-soil field with a promisingly brisk and lively surface. One side of the boundary is notably closer to the pitch than the other, measuring 60m versus 71m. The end boundary has a length of 73m.
The Gujarat Titans’ lineup includes Shubman Gill as the captain, with Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler as wicketkeeper, Sherfane Rutherford, Shahrukh Khan, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Arshad Khan, Sai Kishore, Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna completing the rest of the team.
The Impact Player choices include Washington Sundar, Kulwant Khejroliya, Anuj Rawat, Nishant Sindhu, and Mahipal Lomror.
The Rajasthan Royals lineup includes Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson (captain and wicket-keeper), Nitish Rana, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer, Jofra Archer, Maheesh Theekshana, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Sandeep Sharma, and Tushar Deshpande.
The choices for Impact Players are Kumar Kartikeya, Shubham Dubey, Yudhvir Singh, Akash Madhwal, and Kunal Singh Rathore.
